In October 2013, Henry Boot Developments (HBD) was chosen by Aberdeen City Council to deliver the new Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre at Bucksburn and to redevelop the existing AECC site at Bridge of Don. The AECC is an important part of the City’s business and leisure infrastructure and brings tens of millions of pounds into the local economy each year.
Perceptive has provided Henry Boot with PR and public affairs support on this major flagship project, which involved multiple partners including Aberdeen City Council, AECC and numerous members of the project team, from the outset.
The venue has been named P&J Live and sits within TECA. We have looked after the PR for HBD and have worked closely with all partners involved with the project, including a number of media tours and major media announcements.
• Over 4000 people participated in three rounds of public consultation events.
• Over 100 pieces of positive media coverage in print, radio and television.
• Planning permission successfully gained for the first phase of the project, which includes an energy centre and hotel as well as the AECC itself.
What our clients say
“I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Perceptive Communicators. Having PR integrated together with public affairs is a great benefit for us. They are very proactive.”
